New Projects

Goal #1: Learn new camera. I am loving my new Sony a350. It is easy to use but I have a lot to learn. I need to practice on NON-moving objects. It is so hard to shoot Alexa sometimes. I really need to take a couple of hours to myself and just take a ton of pictures and get really comfortable with it. The Chief took this photo of me taking a photo of Alexa.

Goal #2: Get sewing! I finally took out my sewing machine after a long time. Don't you just love my pink vintage sewing box? My mom found that for me at an antique store. I actually got my sewing machine for Christmas last year and have not used it much. I took a couple of classes and made a tote bag but oddly enough I really didn't learn much. I was teaching myself and then ran into some snags ( literally), got frustrated and stuck it under the table. Today I took it out, successfully fixed the problem and made a cute tissue cover and a little pillow for Alexa. It wasn't much but I felt good about moving forward.

Goal#3: See that laundry basket on the floor? It is full of Ebay stuff! I have two baskets full of items I want to sell on Ebay. Mostly it is clothes that Alexa wore ( or didn't even get a chance to wear). My plan is to sell it all in a few weeks then use all the money to buy her new clothes that I am lusting over on Etsy!

I apologize for the "shopping list!" I was just excited to have found new places to shop for impending adoption!

"Be Careful What You Wish For" blog is a fake... here are the comments I just left that she deleted only moments ago. Feel free to delete my comment after you've read, just wanted to keep real adoptive parents informed to be wary of this individual.

Here's her page of comments for the latest post.... mine are at the bottom:

Some people just like to cause trouble, funny how most of the ones that do it tend to hide who they really are . Just forget anything nasty someone said .

It's always Anonymous isn't it...cowardly...and apparantly not so smart.

I'm sorry people cannot be more sympathetic, and spare their immature comments. You've got to know that you do have honest blog friends who really do care about the fate of the little one you are trying to adopt and are praying for you. I agree with Jenn, just ignore those comments.

I don't know what the other anon's said but it must have been along the lines of what a few of us out here have been thinking... which is, why are 99% of your pics you post here from Google Images?

Here's one from someone else's family blog of the Hummer:
http://mypardy.com/photo6.html

Here's the pic of the nursery you say is yours on the HGTV site. Funny thing is that I recognized it immediately because I saw it over a YEAR ago there when I decided to do our nursery the same color:

That pic of the bruise when you supposedly got hit with a Christmas tree? Here's where you got that pic from: http://www.holidaygolightly.com/tags/bride%20gift%20ideas

Now the baby pic... I guess someone called you out on it? And your profile pic is changed too...

There are a bunch of us out here who were able to find these pics in Google images in seconds.

Who has the time to make up a fake blog??? And why would you want to????

Happy New Year, I want your Chocolate, peanut butter, rice krispy recipe. Good luck with the picture taking and sewing, I did manage to sew a few outfits for Madison last year-can you believe it is 2009!!!! Hopefully this will be a much better year in many respects!!!! I hope to make some more outfits for Madison this year-I already have fabric:). Can you email me your seller id on ebay when you list your stuff-I love some of Alexa's outfits, I might need a couple of them for DD#2. Tell Alexa Madison says hi:).
