Now that Alexa is a reader she gets to bring home her Reading Folder every other night from school to practice her sight words and her reading words. She loves to read but getting her to sit down and do her homework can sometimes be a challenge. I said to the Chief "If this is any indication of what homework time will be like for the next 12 years we are in big trouble." She is excited though and is doing a great job! One of her favorite things to read is the newspaper section which tells the weather report. She will read it while she is eating breakfast and tell me the weather forcast for the week. : )

What a sweetheart! Jasmine sounds like Alexa in the "homework" area -she likes the thought of it and actually doesn't mind doing it - but on her terms and during her timeframe!
I had to laugh out loud about Alexa telling you about the weather, how cute is that?
My son is the same way with getting him to settle and finish his work. He loves school... loves to learn.... but it is hard to keep sitting still when you have been so good ALL day long!! haha!!
