Make It Work!

This is for all the Project Runway fans out there! Tim Gunn came to Scottsdale last night and my mom and I, who are huge fans of the show went to the fashion show and book signing. We had second row seats and we got to see Tim up close and personal. After the show they had a Q&A time and goodness, give me the chance to get on a microphone..I'm there! So they actually came to me, handed me the mic and I got to ask Tim a question. This is what I said " Hi Tim, so excited to meet you. I'm a stay-at-home mom, and I'd like to know what advice you have for all us moms to look fabulous while at home with our kids?" So he answered the question then says, "Could you stand up again please?" Okay, there's like 250 people there and my heart is beating out of my chest. Then he says, " You look adorable, that outfit is fantastic!" OH MY GOSH! Tim Gunn telling me that...all I could say was thank you and sat back down blushing like a dork.
So after the show you could wait in line to meet him( we waited an hour), get his new book signed and get a photo. So when we finally get up there, he shakes my hand and says "Hi, you're the cute stay-at-home mom." Pee in my pants time! So he signs my book and says, "Your question was a good one but if you look like this everyday then you don't need my advice." To which I replied, " Oh no, this is only for you Tim. I certainly don't look like this during the day." So a shout out to all the moms who get dressed up once a month( if I'm lucky) and go out feeling like the hot chicks we used to be( and still are). Thanks Tim for being gracious and real and making this stay-at-home mom feel like a million bucks last night.

Poh Poh & Papa

My folks came up on Halloween to see their little princess. Alexa adores them both and she has a special relationship with each of them.
